Mr. Dereck Taylor, Jr., 27, of Alexandria, passed away Friday, February 12, 2021 in Alexandria, Louisiana. Dereck Darnell Taylor was born to the union of Dereck Taylor, Sr. and Allison Wade in Pineville, Louisiana on November 25, 1993. Dereck was baptized and excepted Allah at the early age of 7. His life journey began and lasted 27 years until he was take from us and called home to be with Allah. Dereck was a very outspoken person with a loving generous and caring personality. He enjoyed life and making others smile. He loved spending time with his dad, family and friends. His love for Allah was so pure and genuine, he loved to talk about Allah and he loved to help others. His life had changed so much with in the last few months. Dereck began working and found out he was becoming a dad to a baby girl whom he will never get to see or hold but he will always be her angel. Dereck was preceded in death by his great grandmother Ouida Lee Jacobs; his grandmother, Doris Evans; his oldest brother, Xavier Taylor; his newborn twin nephews, Xavier and Terell Taylor, his grandfather, Herb Evans and uncle, Herb Evans, II. Dereck leaves to cherish his memories, his father, Dereck Taylor, Sr.; his mother, Allison Wade; brother, Devon'te Taylor; sister, Khloe Freel; his grandmother, Ruth Taylor; his grandfather, Willie Ray; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
