Elizabeth Arden Williams, a radiant and cherished soul, transitioned peacefully at her Alexandria, LA home on November 20, 2023.  Born in Longbridge, Louisiana, on

March 23, 1938. she spent the majority of her extraordinary life in Alexandria forming deep connections with her siblings, Barbara Walls and the late Daisy House.  A graduate of Peabody High School in 1959, Elizabeth's intellectual curiosity and her love for music were evident throughout her life.  She was a devoted member, deaconess and mother of the church at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church for many years.

Married to Benard Williams Sr. on June 11, 1960, their 63 year journey has been marked by adventure, resilience and a profound love that withstood the test of time.  Elizabeth leaves behind a legacy of strength and resilience through her beloved husband, three children, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.  Elizabeth's wisdom and humor created lasting bonds, and will be eternally missed.
