Gwendolyn G. Gusman of Alexandria, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2019. A Memorial will be held on Monday, March  11, 2019 at St. Raymond and St. Leo the Great Catholic Church at 12 noon followed by Christian Mass at 1:00 pm. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 10, 2019 from 3:00p.m. to 5:00p.m. at Ben D. Johnson Memorial Chapel-Winnfield Funeral Home in Alexandria. Interment will be at the Mount Olivet Cemetery in New Orleans, Louisiana. Repast will be held at 5901 Baccich Street, New Orleans, Louisiana. Gwendolyn G. Gusman was born March 5, 1946 in Columbia, Louisiana to Roberta Jackson and Sidmon Gray.  She graduated from High School in 1964.  She married Henry Gusman of the US Navy in 1975.  She worked for the City of New Orleans for 20 years. Gwendolyn died peacefully in Rapides Regional Hospital on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at the age of 72. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents and two siblings, Kenneth Jackson and Cheryl Jackson.  She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories: her loving daughter, Francesca LoBrandon (Melvin) Jones; three grandchildren, Alexandria Williams, Jeffrey Williams and Kyle Bridgewater; seven great grandchildren, Ja'Kail Williams, Jayden Williams, Anthony Williams, Aaron Williams, Alizabeth Williams, Alijah Bridgewater, Zira Bridgewater; nine siblings, Marie Jackson, Joyce Taylor, Doris (Hollis)Watson, Bernell Jackson, Jr., Marshall (Loretha) Jackson, Robert (Grisela)Jackson, Debra Jackson, Pamela (Chester) Coleman and Leon Christopher Jackson and a host of relatives and friends.
