Mrs. Leona Gray Baines, 90, formerly of Colfax, Louisiana passed away peacefully, while surrounded by her children and grandchildren, on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, Louisiana. A limited occupancy Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Winnfield Funeral Home of Alexandria. Visitation will be held from 4:00-5:00 PM on Friday, September 4, 2020. Visitation will continue on Saturday at 9:00 AM until start of service. Interment service will be at Ravencamp Cemetery in Colfax, Louisiana. Mrs. Baines is preceded in death by her parents, Jim Gray and Eolar Bonier Gray; her husband, George Baines, Sr.; one son, George Baines, Jr.; one sister, Josephine Miles; three brothers, Izeal Gray, Booker T. Gray and Jessie Gray. Mrs. Baines is survived by her loving and devoted daughters, Linda (Rev. Daryl) Freeman of Alexandria, Louisiana and Karen Hamilton of Pineville, Louisiana; one sister, Ida Mae Harrell; one brother, Fred Gray, 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and the Union Baptist Church Family.
