A celebration of his life and legacy will be held 12:00 noon Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Daughters of Zion Baptist Church, located at 222 Dewitt Lane, Alexandria, Louisiana. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am until the start of the service at the church. Final resting place will take place at Daughters of Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Alexandria, Louisiana. MB Taylor was born on August 18, 1957 and departed this life on September 7, 2017 at the age of 60. Mr. Taylor was baptized at an early age at the Daughters of Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. W.C. Thomas.  Mr Taylor worked for the Jolly Chief Packing Company for many years.  Later he went to work at D&J Tire Company for 22 years until his health failed him.  He also worked in the Rapides Parish School System. Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents MB Taylor, Sr. and Maybell Taylor; four sisters Josephine Brevelle, Bessie Taylor, Merrill M. Taylor and Annie Taylor; two brothers Walter Taylor, Sr. and Curtis Taylor; and his son Marcus Taylor. Mr. Taylor leaves to cherish his memories four daughters, Shaconda Taylor (Paul) and Della Taylor of New York, New York, Lisa Talley of Texas and Alexis Aaron of Pineville, Louisiana; two brothers, R. B. Taylor, Sr of Alexandria, Louisiana and Jerry Taylor of Glenmora, Louisiana; five grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
