Mr. Richard P. LaCour, of Alexandria, passed away March 18, 2019 at the age of 83.
A Celebration of the Life and Legacy of Mr. Richard Peter Lacour will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, March 29, 2019 at the St. James Catholic Church located at 705 Winn Street, Alexandria, Louisiana. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 28, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Ben D. Johnson Memorial Chapel of Winnfield Funeral Home in Alexandria and continue on Friday, March 29, 2019 beginning at 9:00 am until start of service at the Church. Interment will be at the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Leesville, Louisiana.
Mr. LaCour was born April 8, 1935 in Melrose, Louisiana to Johnny and Agnes Beaudoin LaCour. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1957. Richard was known for his zest for life and doing things how he wanted, the way he wanted and when he wanted. His jovial personality and energy extended into his love for family and friends. He was also known for his sharp dress attire and Stacy Adams shoes. His love of family, music, dancing and just life itself will always hold fond memories for everyone's life he entered into.
Mr. LaCour is survived by his children, Gayle LaCour, Regina Shearer(Michael), Monique LaCour-Isaiah (Derrick), Richard P. LaCour, Jr., LaRhonda LaCour- McKenley(Riccardo), Anita Blackstone and Vallery Joseph Blackstone, Jr.; his grandchildren, Britni, Jeremy, Jordan, Noel, Suritha, DJ, Jessica, Jason, Courtni, Nicholas, Brandon and Justin; three great grandchildren, Jayla, Emeri and Diego; one sister in law, Betty Rae LaCour ;and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
