Robert Russelles Perry, Jr. was born to the union of the late Rev. & Mrs. Robert R. Perry, Sr. on August 15, 1960. Robert received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior at a young age. He was a member of Mount Triumph Baptist Church throughout his childhood and as an adult. Robert departed this life on March 5, 2024.

Robert attended Peabody High School and was in the graduating Class of 1978. Robert began his career at Placid Refining Company, LLC and Atlantic Oil Company (AOC). He enjoyed a steady rise to supervision of a crew on the oil rig. He worked for AOC for 20 years. Robert had several entrepreneurial experiences, and he was most blessed by Rob's Cleaning and Power Wash, Inc. where he founded and managed the company. One of his largest clients was Albertson Food Stores. Robert also earned his General Contractor's License. He enjoyed helping others and provided services in building renovations, lawn care services, and teaching others about what success looks like for aspiring young entrepreneurs including his children.

Robert enjoyed life to the fullest! He believed in taking care of his family, lots of barbecues, dancing, singing, and working. Robert had some health challenges over the past 4 years, and still found a way to encourage others and to give advice and instruction about life experiences, and the importance of making sure your choice to accept Jesus Christ and follow Him, was sure.

Robert was married to Aletha Taylor, with a union of four children: Irvin Cox, Antonio Cox, Aiesha Cox Mims, and Ahmad Cox. Robert also was previously married to Angela Douglas, with a union of one son: Robert Perry, III, the eldest son. Robert is survived by his wife Aletha, and all his children, brothers, and sisters, and a host of grandchildren, uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.
