May 30, 1930 – May 17, 2024
Varie Stallworth was born on May 30, 1930 in Pensacola, Florida to the proud parents
of John Stallworth and Dalah Richardson Stallworth. He was baptized at Nazarene
Baptist Church by Rev. Charles F. Smith, Sr., where he remained until God called him
home. He served as a member of the Deacon Ministry, Trustee Ministry, Chairman of the
Finance Committee and Brotherhood Choir Member. In 2003 he was Man of the Year at
Nazarene Baptist Church
Varie attended school in Pensacola, Florida, graduated and decided to embark on a
military career in the Army for two years and then joined the United States Air Force,
where he retired after 30 years as a Senior Master Sergeant.
He became a Fraternal Brother where he received and acknowledge, true and excepted
as a Mason on November 9th of 1972.
Varie was married to Barbara Jean Edmond Stallworth for sixty plus years. He was a
retired member of the United States Air Force and also retired from Central Louisiana Electric Company (CLECO).
Varie is preceded in death by his loving wife of over 60 years, Barbara, his parents John and Dalah Stallworth, mother and father in-law, James and Edna Hawthorne, his brothers: Rosco, and Randolph, sisters: Barbara,Gwendolyn, Jacqueline, and Annie, sister-in-law: Inez Randall, cousins: James and Margie
Byrd, his nieces: Kim and LaShonda Stallworth, Kendell Platt, & Alex Coya Harris.
Left to cherish his wonderful memories are his two children, Darrell Stallworth of
Atlanta, GA and Valerie Stallworth Stephens of Garland, TX, grandchildren: Variana
Nicole Stephens and Vianca Simone Stephens of Garland, TX, family friend, Charlotte A.
Walker Bailey and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
