Mrs. Hilda Cooper, 95 of Alexandria, Louisiana passed away on Friday, October 16, 2020 at CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital.
Visitation will at Winnfield Funeral Home at Alexandria Friday, October 23, 2020 from 3pm-5pm and 9:00am Saturday, October 24, 2020St. Juliana Catholic Church. A Rosary Service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, followed by Mass beginning at 11:00 am at St. Juliana Catholic Church in Alexandria. Interment will held at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Ball, Louisiana.
Mrs. Cooper was an established cook in Central Louisiana for over 65 years. She enjoyed baking sweet potato pies and making pecan candy for family and friends. She was also a member of the Altar Society Ladies Auxiliary.
Mrs. Cooper is preceded in death by her husband, J.L. Cooper.
Survivors include four daughters, Mary Lasseigne, Beatrice Fisher, Patsy (Winston) Vaz, and Shirley Cooper; one son, James Cooper; one sister, Gladys (Israel) Conner; 9 grandchildren, Joseph, Jemiah, Patrick, Alexis, Ashley, Trevor, Jamie, Joye and James, II; 6 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
